Beckfoot Nessfield is a large site and through thinking differently, there is a brilliant opportunity to share rising costs and therefore benefit the children who attend this school. By creating a ‘satellite’ school for Beckfoot Phoenix in space within the Beckfoot Nessfield building, we are able to add 32 more places for pupils with identified special educational needs.
As part of this process, the proposal will be going to public consultation, this period will last from 24/03/2025 – 14/04/2025. We will be holding a consultation drop-in meeting at Beckfoot Nessfield on Thursday 27th March at 8:45-9:45am and 5:30-6:30pm, this is an opportunity for us to share our plans and address any of your concerns. We also encourage you to complete the consultation by scanning the QR code on the consultation document and completing the form.

Beckfoot Nessfield was originally built for 450 pupils and is potentially only going to accommodate 240 by 2027. As such, the expansion of Beckfoot Phoenix will allow excellent use of unused space. We have a long and successful history as a trust of running and managing co-located special and mainstream schools and understand the benefits it can bring to all. There are a growing number of pupils in Bradford who need provision in special schools, and the current facilities are not enough to meet this demand This is a fantastic opportunity for both schools to work collaboratively on a shared site while still maintaining their own strong identity.
The links below will provide you with information about the proposed co-location of our school and should answer any questions or concerns you may have. We hope to see you at the consultation event on Thursday to answer any further questions you may have.
